Mars In Scorpio Until Christmas

Extremely resilient and intense times ahead. While Mars in Libra afforded us
a chance to show diplomacy and the building of bridges at work, we now enter
an astrological rulership moment, when Mars moves
into the transformative energy of regenerative Scorpio. When Mars is in
Scorpio, (and I have observed this for some twenty years, or at least ten
times, as Mars takes about two years to move around the Zodiac), we witness a
time of super-charged energies, and of driven action. Ambition takes on a
very different meaning now.
The theme and meme of Mars in Scorpio is one of
hidden and secretive dealings, as well as of compassionate healing. At first
sight these two things do not seem to go together well, but in reality we
will see that Mars in Scorpio can heal, albeit in rather terminal ways.
Things are going to transform now until Christmas, when Mars will move on
into Sagittarius.
Mars digs below the surface of what is visible, in order
to touch fundamental human issues of power, fear, transformation, sex and
desire. The probing properties of Mars will be directed beyond social
niceties (Libra - we just had that) to reach into our deepest recesses and
provoke the much needed change. So hang on, because now the going gets tough
- and the tough get going.
Mars and Scorpio are alike in some ways and share an
interest in style, endeavour and fundamental values. The image that comes to
mind is a nuclear submarine, driven to last forever. Being very aware of what
we receive for what we do is advisable now, because it is time to get
compensation for work well done.
Scorpio keeps close score of what is going on, both
in human relationships and in large scale enterprise, albeit unconsciously or
rather quietly for the most part. Vindictive emotions and jealousy are
hallmarks to detect or to watch out for as a possibility, but so is a
transcendent level of spiritual awareness that casts off illusion and gets to
the heart of the matter, like a sword cutting to the truth.
It may be necessary to exchange outer harmony for
inner truth for ventures and business partnerships to grow and to succeed.
Intent is the word for Mars in Scorpio. Watch the intent, because it - that
which you intend - will manifest later.
All activity and some passions are likely to be more
intense now. Likes and dislikes move beyond the containment of politeness and
"correct" behavior of Libra. Now, we will
be able to use our intuition to detect what we need and don't need in our
lives. One of the biggest challenges in the weeks ahead is to trust our
instincts, even if they push us to rock the boat. However, Jupiter in Libra
still wants fairness, while Mars in Scorpio desires all or nothing. Scorpio
Mars should not be an excuse to wreck what has been achieved, so it would
also be a cool idea to lay low for a while, below the radar screen, as Mars
in Scorpio also does.
Now is an ideal moment to transform or resurrect old
projects, creative ventures, and business partnerships. If there is essential
value to be found, by the time Venus in Scorpio joins Mars in December, then
we can succeed in large scale ways in what it is we are doing.
That which serves no longer a consistent purpose,
and all the outmoded desires ought to be shed to make space for the new to
grow from below the surface, and renewed joy, compassion, love and
appreciation will rise from the ashes - like the proverbial Phoenix. Scorpio
- after all - is the Eagle when well aspected.
Tenacity and focus are Mars
in Scorpio qualities and they will be required in massive dosage now for
success. Scorpio itself has always been - in my eyes - the soul of
professionalism and thorough action. This activity can be centred around the Uranus in Pisces and or Saturn in Cancer
subjects - illumination and safe places...
The signature Mars in there - in the dark matter -
is beautifully aspected this time by both Uranus in
Pisces and by Saturn in Cancer, which means that finding out the truth and
establishing a position of professional and personal integrity are the
correct paths we can benefit from, and so I feel now really is the time to go
within, and to deal with the shadows, the necessary healing, and to practice
mindfulness.
The Scorpio energy gives the planet of assertion a huge
hidden spin, and the caution as well as the chance here is to think through
our actions before beginning the implementation, because they will one way or
another sprout results in two years from now. Set the intent now!

what Mars has to demonstrate when in Scorpio...
